After our little tour at the headquarter of Google HK. Here are the pictures of Nokia’s headquarter in China. The offices are located in the Chinese capital Beijing, inside the BDA (Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area). The construction of the building began in May 2006 and Nokia (诺基亚) has been occupied the premises at the beginning of 2008. The amount invested is quite high, since Nokia has spent nearly 450 million yuan.

An implementation in China was unavoidable for the worldwide mobile leader. Today, China represents the largest market for Nokia. In terms of numbers, Nokia has generated a turnover of 6.4 billion euros in 2009. For the first quarter of 2010, the turnover reached 1.458 billion euros (1.249 billion in 2009) for 21.1 million units sold (against 17.9 million in 2009 – nokia.com, Marketing-Chine). Results are in constant growth in Chinese market but remain mixed due to counterfeiting and strong competition in the low-range and midrange mobile.

Nokia for the Chinese is the reflection of a quality and strong reputation brand.

This image will not tarnish if Nokia continues to innovate and maintain the quality of its products. Remember that Nokia has introduced the first mobile phone in China that supports the standard TD-SCDMA (Chinese 3G), the Nokia 6788 and just launched in early April its service “ Comes With Music” in China (乐 随想), a service for unlimited music downloads DRM-free.

I don’t know what think about their office but the style is very different from Google, I would simply say that the design reflects the state of mind of the brand.
