Kupa, a new Chinese brand just surf on the buzz of the iPad to do a spot on the tablet PC market, unveiling two new models with resistive? 7-inch touchscreen with diplaying a resolution of 800×400 pixels.
The Kupa X1-701 is based on a Telechips 8902 platform with 720mhz processor and 3D hardware acceleration. It has 256mb of DDR and 2GB of NAND Flash expandable via SD card up to 32GB max. Kupa announces that it runs on Android 2.1 and is capable of playing full HD 1080p videos. Fairly complete, it includes a module-Fi, G-Sensor, a 1.3M pixels camera, a HDMI output, USB OTG, and a USB Host 1.1. Some options are available as a USB key for the 3G and GPS. Its battery range is approximately 7h and measures 14.6 mm thick.
Regarding the Kupa X1-702, it has 2 processors, a 600MHz ARM9 Rockchip 2818 and a 560mhz from DSP. It also runs on Android 2.1, but only has 128mb of RAM. By cons it features a trackball and an optional 4000mAh battery providing 12 hours of battery.
Kupa announced that its ePad / MID range will soon be expanded with the arrival of? 8 and 10.2 inches models. The manufacturer has not yet given the price or sale date.
